"The Audium 2 is working out beautifully for my Dad! His seven year old
hearing aids just don't do the job anymore and he's been in an extended
critical care setting for months that has made audiology updates out of
reach. He is on a ventilator much of the time, so his communications are
further frustrated by his inability to speak directly most of the time,
resorting to an alphabet board to spell out his words. Needless to say,
under these circumstances where he can do little but watch and listen, and
communication with his doctor, hospital staff and family is so crucial, just being able to hear us and what is going on around him makes all the
difference to his sense of comfort and security - and ours.
"The Audium 2 is significantly more powerful than an inexpensive Radio Shack model we tried (though just trying that and his c.d. player with the standard earbuds provided with the Audium 2, instead of his old earphones, make a significant improvement; and though the additional new earphones are good, the earbuds still seem optimal). Even a much more expensive ___________. we had rented from an audiologist was dissappointing.
"The ability to equalize each ear individually on the Audium 2 is a terrific advantage - not at all difficult to set with just a little patience - and it is so nice not to be constantly hunting for fresh batteries now. In every way it has proven to be everything that is claimed!
