The Original Bed Buddy Large Joint Wrap may be used either hot or cold.
Bed Buddy products are unique because they provide deep penetrating moist heat - without adding water - when heated in the microwave. (Heating pads, gel packs and air-activated wraps provide dry heat.) Moist heat provides an infusion of moisture to the top layer of skin to prevent moisture loss and improves hydration of the skin and cells. Medical professionals recommend moist heat because it penetrates deeply and quickly to increase blood flow to reduce pain and relax muscles.
When used as a heat wrap, it provides moist heat without adding water. For moist heat therapy, place the Bed Buddy Wrap on a microwave-safe plate and heat for 30 seconds.
