Bedside Assistant Bed Handles

Something sturdy to hold on to right at the edge of the bed is essential for anyone having trouble getting in our out of bed or rolling over.

Unlike some bed rails, these do not need to be raised or lowered. Nothing extends below your box spring so the floor remains clear and uncluttered.

The space between the handles allows you to get in and out of bed while the handles remain in place. Holding a handle in each hand, you will sit on the side of your bed with confidence.

Each handle is 20 inches wide, and 16 inches tall, and extensions reach three feet between the matress and the box spring. No hardware and no assembly. Ideal for adjustable beds (such as the Craft-Matic).

Two handles on the same side of the bed means you don't have to twist to one side as you stand up from the bed. You can push with both arms - like standing up from an armchair. Legs come up through the sitting space; the space can be up to 27'' on a twin-or full-size bed, up to 32'' on a queen- or king-size bed.

Making the bed is simple. When no one is on the bed, the handles can be pulled out a few inches; they extend 3 feet under the mattress. Return the handles to their correct position by pressing them snugly against the bed.

Strong - each handle features one piece steel construction.

Attractive - White, textured, cushioned vinyl grip surface.

Works with ordinary mattress & box springs, platform, water or adjustable bed. Makes any bed a safer bed - especially for anyone who uses a cane or walker or who feels dizzy or unsteady as they get in and out of bed.

Designed by an engineer for his wife who has MS, the Bedside Assistant was tested by people with weakness from Parkinson's, injury, medication, hypertension, chemotherapy and stroke. The Bedside Assistant is stable in all directions and can be firmly pulled, pushed, lifted and leaned on.

The bars stay in place because they are held down by the weight of your mattress, and they are covered with a special ''anti-slip'' friction material. They are adult strong; they won't fail even under a 175 pound static load, each!

You can lean on the Bedside Assistant while you're standing just the way you would lean on a walker or cane (but the Bedside Assistant won't tip over or fall down out of reach.)

The Bedside Assistant is easy to install on any bed you use: at home, visiting friends and family, even at hotels.

And, finally, pull an ordinary pillowcase down over a bed handle and then pull the pillowcase up and back over itself to create a bedside pocket on both sides of the bed handle.
