The Original Bed Buddy Hot and Cold Pack can be microwaved for use as a hot pack or refrigerated for use as a cold pack. Use it for moist heat relief - without adding water - for sore muscles, aches, and pains. Bed Buddy products are unique because they provide deep penetrating moist heat when heated in the microwave. (Heating pads, gel packs and air-activated wraps provide dry heat.) Moist heat provides an infusion of moisture to the top layer of skin to prevent moisture loss and improves hydration of the skin and cells. Medical professionals recommend moist heat because it penetrates deeply and quickly to increase blood flow to reduce pain and relax muscles. It is easy to use and will provide instant relief for headaches, backaches, neckaches, cramps, arthritis, and it can be used as a computer wrist support. To use as a hot pack, place it in the microwave for 1 to 2 minutes...stays heated for up to one hour. To use as a cold pack, place it in a plastic bag and leave it in the freezer overnight.
